Crimson Glow captures the final light of the summer day in a deep, ruby-red cup. Bright berries and citrus mingle with calming botanicals, creating a blend that is both vibrant and restful. Designed to accompany moments of stillness, reflection and rest, Crimson Glow is the perfect cup to transition from an active summers' day into a blissful summers' eve.

A blend of summer berries, lemon balm, catnip and nettle, Crimson Glow balances bright fruit notes with herbal complexity. Elderberries and hibiscus create its ruby-red color, while citrus peels add a touch of brightness, evoking the lushness of a Midsummer garden as the day gives way to evening.

The Story Behind the Blend:

The Summer Solstice is celebrated as a festival of light, but it is also a threshold. After the longest day of the year, the wheel begins its slow turn towards Autumn. For centuries, Midsummer's eve was a time of gathering, storytelling, feasting, and honoring the abundance of the season.

Crimson Glow was inspired by the rest after the celebration. The ruby light of evening lingering in the garden, lanterns glowing among the flowers illuminating stone paths.

Throughout European Folklore, Midsummer's Eve has been associated with dreams, intuition and the belief that the boundary between the seen and the unseen felt just a little thinner. In this blend, I've included botanicals which have traditionally been used to support dreaming and deep relaxation.

Created as a companion for evening hours, Crimson Glow invites you to rest, settle into stillness and ease gently into the night. With its deep crimson hue, and citrus-berry character, this one is perfect for carrying the warmth of the day into your evening routine. An alternative "glass of red" if you will.

Key Botanicals and Their Traditional Uses:

Blueberries (Vaccinium spp.)

Long valued as both a food and a tea ingredient, blueberries bring juicy berry notes and a familiar taste of the summer harvest, along with being a source of antioxidants and polyphenols.**

Elderberries (Sambucus spp.)

The Elder tree has long held a place in European folklore, where it was regarded as a tree of mystery, protection and transformation. Stories associated elder with the liminal spaces between worlds, states of being, and seasons, such as Spring to Summer and Autumn to Winter. In Crimson Glow, Elderberries lend depth, color and rich fruit character to the blend's ruby red infusion. **

Lemon Balm (Melissa Officinalis)

One of the most beloved herbs in traditional herbalism, lemon balm has been used for centuries as a gentle nervine, an herb traditionally used to support the nervous system. Herbalists often recommend it for tension, restlessness and a mind that won't easily settle. It also has a bright citrus aroma and flavor.**

Catnip (Nepeta cataria)

Though best known for its effects on cats, catnip is a member of the mint family and has a long history of use as a tea for humans. Considered a gentle nervine, it has been traditionally included in evening infusions meant to promote relaxation and ease nervous tension. Catnip is also associated with dreaming and intuition, making it a perfect addition to blends inspired by rest and reflection.**

Stinging Nettle (Urtica dioica)

A deeply rooted traditional herb throughout Europe and North America, nettle has long been valued as a nourishing botanical and is naturally rich in minerals. In Crimson Glow, it provides a grounding foundation beneath the berry and citrus notes. **
