Mint has always offered me focus and that brisk, elevated state when the mind feels clear and lifted. It’s a type of clarity that we don’t often get to experience in a world that is seldom quiet. Our modern days don’t contain enough silence. The great thinkers and creators of the past had the space to think, uninterrupted.
Ironically, while writing this I’ve been interrupted at least 4 times.
Silence used to surround us, now we’re surrounded by noise, unless we intentionally carve out the quiet.
For many, stillness and silence are uncomfortable. We fill it with background sound, endless scrolling, the next distraction. But it’s within silence that our truest thoughts begin to surface - the kind that lead to insight, imagination, real creativity and even the next idea that might just change the world.
Without it, our minds never fully open, they only react.
I created this blend to honor silence, mental clarity and the growth that comes from being alone with our own thoughts. It’s mint and lemongrass are expansive and open, like a clear blue Iowa sky. I added gentle floral botanicals as a nod to the wildflowers that grow in the open meadow, one of my favorite places to revel in stillness and listen to the quiet winds rustling through the tall grasses - Just enough background noise to complement rather than drown out my own thoughts.
For the green tea version, smooth Young Hyson adds an awakened edge - the quiet lift of gentle caffeine - for those moments when you desire a little additional lift and a boost of green tea benefits, while still staying grounded in calm focus.
This blend is my reminder that the quiet isn’t emptiness or absence, it’s the birthplace of ideas and insights, that surface when we finally stop to listen. In the quiet spaces of our days, creativity returns. In those small pockets of silence, the mind begins to open and bloom again, revealing thoughts that were always there, waiting for us to listen.
